About Pit Stop
Pit Stop is a web3 Formula 1 fantasy game platform where players can build their virtual garages by minting F1 cars as NFTs and compete with others by wagering these NFT cars on real life F1 races.
How it works
- Players start by building their own car garage in the metaverse, by minting F1 cars of different liveries as NFTs on the Polygon Mumbai Testnet.
- These NFT cars have an initial points attribute equal to 0 (zero) and can be wagered on one driver during each real life F1 Grand Prix.
- After the race, each NFT is updated with the number of points scored by the driver in the Grand Prix.
- The more points a player racks up, the more valuable the NFT becomes, and the higher they move up the global leaderboard.
- Players can also buy and sell these NFT cars at any given time on the in-game marketplace, essentially trading some MATIC for points.
How to play
- Get started by installing the Metamask wallet
- Add the Polygon Mumbai-Testnet network to your Metamask wallet
- Head over to the Polygon faucet and request some test MATIC tokens to your wallet
- Sign in using your wallet by clicking on the Connect Wallet button
- Once you receive the tokens, navigate to the Mint page and mint your first NFT car with the livery of your choice
- Once you have a car in your Garage, you can back a driver for the upcoming Grand Prix by going to the Race page
- Claim your points once the race is over and climb the Leaderboard
- Make sure to check out the Marketplace to buy and sell cars at any given point
